What is the definition of the Marketing ? That is a good and more professional issue. To understand the concept of marketing , it is necessary to understand the difference between marketing and market research. Many years ago most industries concentrated primarily on the efficient production of goods and then relied on the information from market research to move as much of those goods as possible. Such market research focuses on the needs of seller to produce goods and then convert them into money. Marketing on the other hand, focus on the want of customers It begins with first analyzing the preference and demands of consumers and then producing goods that will satisfy them. This eye—to—the –consumer approach is known as the marketing concept, which simply means that instead of trying to selling what ever is easiest to produce or buy for resale .The markers and dealers first endeavor to find out what the consumer wants to buy and then go about making it available for purchase. As successful merchants and producers, however recognize that the surest route to profit is through understanding and catering to customers. That is the reason that why the marketing is more effective and efficient than market research, which always filling out some forms.
Although , the business is not charity, or the consumer satisfaction is given priority over profit in a company. There are always two sides to every business, transaction ----the firm and the customer----and the latter must be satisfied before trade occurs.
