Teacher-Centered or Students-Centered Class
提纲
1.以教师为中心的课堂。
2.以学生为中心的课堂。
3.结论。
Most of the Chinese classes are teacher-centered. Students are always busy listening to their teacher and taking notes, while the leacher speaks from the beginning to the end in the class. But I don't think the teacher-centered class has many advantages. It will make students passive listeners. In my opinion, the class should be students-centered.
A students-centered class has more advantages than a teacher-centered class. Firstly, the students are more likely to concentrate their minds. If the teacher pays more attention to their students and attaches much importance to whether their students are interested in what he says, it will be less easily for their students to daydream. Secondly, the students will cooperate better with their teacher, and the teacher can get the feedback through their students' questions and improve his teaching accordingly. Thirdly, the students will be more active and creative. They can discuss or debate with each other, therefore they may get a deeper understanding, or sometimes even present creative ideas which will arouse the inspiration of the teacher.
In a word, in the students-centered class, the students will feel that they want to study rather than teaches want them to. So I think students-centered class is better than teacher-centered class.
